Monday – Friday
Time: 9:00am – 9:00pm
CLASS SCHEDULE
Morning: 9:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Afternoon: 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and
Evening: 5:30pm – 9:00pm
M-F 3hours and 30 minutes daily, 17hours –30min weekly for 6 weeks.
Business Hours: 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. M-F.
COURSE DESCRIPTION
The Nurse Aide Training Program (NATP) is a 125-hour course which consists of 95 hours of classroom and skills lab instruction and 30 hours of clinical training at a skilled nursing facility. The course consists of the following seven instructional units:
- INTRODUCTORY CURRICULUM
- BASIC NURSING SKILLS
- PERSONAL CARE SKILLS
- MENTAL HEALTH AND SOCIAL SERVICE NEEDS
- CARE OF COGNITIVELY IMPAIRED RESIDENTS
- BASIC RESTORATIVE SERVICES
- RESIDENTS RIGHTS
Students are required to complete 30 hours of supervised clinical training with nursing home residents at the designated site,
